Society Dogs and the Lime Green Bus

Inside_the_bus On Friday we had the pleasure of a visit from the ‘Society Dog’ Bus.

Check out the cool lime green and purple bus, completely renovated to safely transport human and canine alike. This San Jose, California social club rents their bus out for special occasions. Director Terri Festa, right, reports that a local radio deejay rented the bus for a recent bar-hopping evening of fun and reporting.

Samson_resting All of our canine guests were well behaved and delightful. Samson, a Bouvier, initially decided to pass on exploring the lawn for a cool drink and a nap in the shade. With all that black fur, who can blame him?

Buddy_and_cooper_1 Buddy_and_pixie_2 Cooper the beagle couldn’t wait to get off leash and explore, but Buddy and Pixie were happy to show off for all the cameras.

The Society Dog website features beach trips, walks, activities and "whine" tasting for dog owners, along with special discounts from "pre-furred" merchants, and a "Yelp Line." Our mascot Rebel Rose scored an honorary lime and purple (reversible) Society Dog bandana.

Samson woke up from his nap and invented a game of leaping onto wine barrels, much to the amusement of his owner.

After awhile Samson and Buddy settled into the grass to play "Find My Nose."
