How did you discover Paso Robles? Have you visited our winery or the area? Do you have a preference for particular types of wine? What do you do for a living? Do you like to cook or grill? Do we really have a winemaker named Dan Panico, or did we just make that up?

god job

Hi there,
I wanted to thank you for a few things:
the great writing and information
the fantastic wine my family has been enjoying since the late 90's when we found you while living in SLO county
and your reciprocal link to me. I really appreciate this, I consider it an honor.
Best,
C

You are most certainly welcome, and I thank you in turn for the reciprocal link! I like your site--it is relaxing and delicious to read, and the recipes really get me thinking about what to make for dinner. I like your focus on simple dishes that use fresh, quality ingredients. Very tasty--and excellent with wine!

Mary, I must admit I've been lurking on your site periodically for over a year. There are many good wine (and hiking) blogs to read, but that's no excuse for me to not give you the credit you deserve for some of the finest wine writing I read.
I didn't make it to your winery when I was in Paso in February, but sometime in this next year, I expect to pay you a visit.
Best regards,
Russ

I am looking for private labeling. Can I get a good Cab and Chard with my own labeling?

Hi, Elliot:
There are a number of places that offer custom crush and private labeling. In northern California, 'Crushpad' offers custom crush and labeling to clients (www.crushpadwine.com). Locally, Signe Zoller has a private client production business (www.winestyling.com). Signe used to be the winemaker at Meridian. Her service includes a style questionnaire which will help you both to determine the style you want as well as the varietals. And then there are some of the larger wineries that offer custom crushing and/or labeling, like Eos and Castoro Cellars. (Winery contact information can be found at www.pasowine.com). I hope this will help to get you started.

I read about your site in SmallBiz magazine several weeks ago and just now was able to find the time to check it out. All I can say is great job! I'm envious of you taking the leap to do your own thing. I'm also saddened that I can't order wine through your club at the present time, I live in the backward state of Arkansas having moved here a year ago from Chicago, culture shock, but will definitely plan a stop when I next visit Paso Robles. I'm also going to add a link to your site from my site http://www.365Corks.com. No reciprocal link necessary unless you really like my site. Thanks again for sharing your blog! Rob

Hi Mary,
It's such a pleasure to read your blog. And these days, such a rare thing to find writing that is lively and charming, and has no typos, syntax issues, punctuation gaffes, etc. Wonderful! Keep up the good work!

Hello Rob, Marcia and Jody!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write. Sorry I've been so late to respond. We have been up to our elbows in grapes!

Thanks, Kim. I certainly hope you do. Be sure to mention that you read the blog. ;)
And if I'm not in the tasting room, you can always ask for me. If I am at home or in the garden I keep my cellphone with me so my staff can page me.

Great blog, Mary! I especially liked the Peter Pan post. You and Dan are living the life that my wife and I hope to bring to reality in the Texas Hill Country.
I will be a regular blog reader and will try to make the trip to Dover Canyon sometime soon.
Thanks for sharing your little piece of the world.

I have been to your winery. Only it was "Harringtons Nut House" then. I used to live there with my Mom and Dad. And after Mom died it was sold to you. I havnt been there in 12 years! I would love to see what youve done to it. And the wine sounds good too! Take care of our place. Like i know you have. Cause theres alot of memories there! Thank you. Sheryl Harrington. p.s. I noticed the wood swing is still there. Thats awesome!

Sheryl, thank you for your comments. Yes, we love our place and are making every effort to ensure it continues to look--and feel--like a family farm. Everyone loves the swing. Joe Barloggio told us that he remembers swinging on that tree as a child, so we figure there has been a swing on that black oak for 80 years. (We did replace the board, it was a little splintery.) I will email you with more details!
